Q: Where do my savings come from?

Your savings usually come from two places: a cheaper loan than the one you currently have, and commission rebates — we give part of our commission back to you.

Q: How is my rebate calculated?

We find the lowest-cost loan in the market as a benchmark. If our recommended loan costs more than that benchmark, we refund the difference from our commission. At a minimum, you’ll always receive a rebate equal to the trail commission.

Q: How do you compare with a local mortgage broker?

While a local broker might know your area, we scan a wider range of lenders and use AI technology to find better total-cost outcomes. We also share our commission with you, which most traditional brokers do not.

How much does it cost to use Monetas?

Answer

It costs you nothing. We’re paid a commission by the lender when your loan settles. We share how much we are paid in your Credit Proposal.

How is my cashback calculated?

Answer

We start by finding the lowest-cost loan in the market that fits your needs — even if it’s from a lender we don’t work with. This is the benchmark. Then we find the closest match from the lenders we can access. If our recommended loan costs more than the benchmark, we refund the difference from our commission so you pay no more than the benchmark cost. At a minimum, you’ll always receive a cashback equal to the trail commission.

How can you assure savings?

Three ways. First, we search across 80+ lenders to find you a genuinely competitive rate. Second, we pass 100% of our trail commission back to you, reducing your effective rate further. Third, we back it with our Savings Commitment: if you find a lower total-cost loan elsewhere, we'll pay you $1,000.

Even if your current loan is already well-priced, our cashback means you'll pay less than you would staying where you are or going through a traditional broker.

Can I choose my lender?

Answer

Absolutely. We’ll recommend what we believe offers the best overall value for you, but you’re free to choose any product you prefer. Just note — choosing a different loan may mean a smaller saving.

We use AI and open banking technology to automate loan comparisons, document collection, and compliance checks. This reduces our costs — and we pass those savings on to you through commission sharing.

What if interest rates change or better loans become available later?

We keep monitoring your loan and the market. If a new product could save you money, we’ll alert you and help you refinance easily.

You can talk to us by phone, video, or email anytime. If you’re unsure, you can even compare our offer with your local broker’s and see who comes out ahead.

Can't I just call my bank and ask for a better rate?

Answer

You can, and sometimes it works. Banks typically offer 0.10–0.20% off to retain you. But they rarely volunteer their sharpest pricing, they offer just enough to stop you leaving. Even after a retention discount, you'd likely still be overpaying.

Will refinancing hurt my credit score?

Answer

When you apply for a new loan, lenders record an enquiry on your credit file. If you refinance and nothing else in your financial situation has changed, it usually has minimal or no impact on your credit score.

Are you just another “cash-back” broker?

No. Cash-back brokers typically refund only the trail commission. We go much further — not only do we refund the trail commission but we also provide additional cashback to match the benchmark, which is the lowest-cost loan across that we can find that also meets your needs.

There isn’t one — but here are some key details:
* You must be eligible for the recommended loan.
* If your circumstances have changed significantly since your original loan, such as reduced income or higher debt, refinancing may not be available, or may not lower your costs.
* The cashback is paid yearly, and as long as your loan remains active through Monetas.
* To keep your loan optimised, we re-check your benchmark and cashback periodically. If there’s a change in your rebate or total cost, we’ll send you an updated savings analysis so you always know where you stand.
